PROGRESS REPORT

        Parents / Guardian will be sent progress report of their wards so that they might follow their progress and guide them properly. Constant contact with the Principal by the parents may help the students to progress in his / her studies.

STUDENT'S STORES

          The college runs a Student's Stores with the Faculty Staff and students as members. It caters the day to day needs like books, Stationaries and drawing instrument to the staff and students at reasonable rates.

          Also letters, post cards, and postage stamps can be collected from the stores. Postage facility is also available with in the campus.

STUDENTS ACCIDENT MEDICAL INSURANCE SCHEME

        The Students, Faculty and Staff are benefited with Accident Medical Insurance Scheme. In this scheme all the Faculty Staff and Students are insured in United India Insurance Co Ltd. for Rs. 1,00,000. Through this scheme one can claim a maximum amount of Rs. 10,000 for Medical Expenditure and Hospitalization due to accident. Incase of any urgency they can contact the office through Phone 0427 - 2403564 or the UIIC Agent cell No. 94430 - 84178. Students admitted in the academic year 2005-2006 are insured under GIFTS Scheme of Sri Gokulam Hospital Salem, and they can contact the Hospital through Phone Number : 0427 - 2448171.

AlUMNI ASSOCIATION

  • The student’s alumni association is functioning effectively in the college.
  • The Association has been duly registered with the registration no 26/2004.
  • The students those who are completing the final semester of the study can become the member of the association by paying membership fee rs.50/- the alumina of the college is much helpful in identifying training for students and the job opportunities for outgoing students.

COUNSELLING AND GUIDANCE CELL

In this cell, we help students to help themselves in all the areas of their life. we make the students realize the answer for their unanswered questions and problems of their age.

DISPENSARY

The college has a dispensary for the benefit of faculty staff and students. the dispensary is kept open from 4 to 6 p.m on alternative days from Monday, Dr. Thinker Rajaratnam, M.B.B.S,IS the consultant physician, the faculty staff and students can get emergency medicines, medical advice or any clarification.

ELEVATOR

An elevator facility has been provided for the persons with disability to go to the classes and labs in the upstairs. the elevator is operated during the working hours of the college.

INDUSTRY INSTITUTE INTERACTION CELL (IIIC)

  • The linkages between industries and polytechnic colleges are of great Importance for improving degree of relevance of contents and delivery of technician
  • Education in the context of the changing global economic scenario and the economic changes that have taken place in our country, there is greater need to have an interaction between industries and institutes. In this view, the college III cell has been functioning since 2000 with the main objective” to train and develop the right kind of technical manpower necessary for sustaining and promoting faster industrial and economic growth”. Also the college III cell is a member CUIC-ANNA UNIVERSITY, CHENNAI.

INSTITUTION OF ENGINEERS (India)

  • Institution of engineers, C.S.I. POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE student’s chapter is functioning since the year 2005.
  • The institution of engineers (INDIA) is a unique professional body representing the
    Interest in engineers on the global platform, established in 1920 with its headquarters in kolkata.
  • IEI functions amongst students, professional engineers, academicians and research workers and provides a vast array of technical services.
ISTE CHAPTER AND STUDENT'S CHAPTER
                  
The professional society activities are carried out through ISTE&ISTE-SC seminars, symposiums, workshops are conducted periodically to update the knowledge in engineering. The students are encouraged to participate in the paper presentation and the competitions every year as a part of its activity.

OTHER CLUBS AND ASSOCIATIONS

Apart from enabling the students to attain academic excellence, the college offers a variety of academic and non academic activities through the departmental associations and other clubs, to realize the stated vision and mission of the college. opportunities are provided to develop the leadership qualities and their latent cultural talents through the associations and clubs. various clubs and associations functioning in the college are,

As per the directions given by the directorate of technical education Chennai, Training cum production center is functioning in the college. the following special Programmers’ are conducted for the benefit of the students at nominal fee.

  8. Through this type of continuing education programme, the students are having an Opportunity to obtain a life oriented skill while undergoing the formal technical education. all the students are encouraged to approach the co-ordinator for the admission to courses.
